I took home the DVD set of Damages (the first season), starring Glen Close, and man, am I glad I did. I've only watched the first episode, and I actually gasped aloud a couple of times at the diabolical plot twists. I was looking for something to hook me, and boy has it. Glen Close is amazing, and her Golden Globe for this role was well deserved, I can already tell. A hard hitting, brilliantly paced legal drama with oodles of suspense.5/5 stars (so far).

I must watch this immediately. I love suspense. Gossip Girl didn't really do it for me. I watched the whole thing in 3 days.

Gossip girl has moments of awesomeness amidst a sea of blah blah indie rock blah.
